Ditch the Tablecloth or Keep it Neutral

We are LOVING the beautiful tablescape inspirations we’ve been seeing. The natural vibe of a wood table with a simple runner or garland running down the center makes a stunning statement. Ditching the tablecloth brings an organic, country feel to your table. If you are a tablecloth lover, try something neutral, like whites or creams.

Create a Layered Centerpiece

If you had a chance to check out our Gonyea Custom division’s mantel decorating blog post, you read about how to layer decorations on your mantel. The same stays true for your table. Pick a simple table runner as your base. This could be a solid color or pattern. Then, layer a garland on top. Scatter in some beautiful lights, like candles or twinkle lights, and voila! A simple, yet beautiful holiday table. You can use layering with any centerpiece you want to add to a table, just remember to start with a base, and add on! We love the buffalo plaid runner in this centerpiece, plus the beautifully-layered berries that add a pop of color.

Incorporate Nature

We love natural, organic touches, and what better way to incorporate this than borrowing from Mother Nature? As you can tell, we absolutely love garlands. Add one down the center of your table. Also, add a beautiful round wood charger to each place setting for something unique, layer pine cones into your centerpiece, or add a cheerful berry stem on each place setting. Mother Nature gives us many beautiful textures, colors, and patterns. Think of different ways you can incorporate them into your place setting, and have fun testing out some ideas!
